Original plot idea

Our original plot idea was quite complex and hard to understand and follow.

This was mainly due to the fact that we originally wanted to create a short film, but our school said that we all have to do music videos.
So when we began to create a music video we began trying to make a short movie but with music playing.

Upon reflection we realised how bad this would be, what we originally thought would make a music video would in reality be very bad look very amateur. Our original video idea wouldn't have fit in with Goodwin's theory as there was no link between the visuals on screen and the lyrics that accompanied them. Our new Video plot idea will fit in with Goodwin's theory as we have managed to make sure the visual images match the lyrics, for example, when the lyrics of the song says 'Climbing trees' we will have the actors climbing trees.


The Original plot:

- We wanted it to be an escape of reality so we created this idea of the protagonist beginning in an urban area and then ending up in a rural area, running through nature from reality. Though we have changed our idea, we have decided to keep the set transformation from urban to rural to fit in with the folk genre.
- We originally wanted a sense of adventure with the character exploring the nature and finding treasure. We scrapped this idea as we realised it didn't fit in with the whole idea of running from reality.
